Halloween is Coming!

Well okay, it's still a little ways away. I am however, already getting in the halloween spirit!

I've planned my costume.

And I've planned all the activities we're going to do in my classroom! I am really excited about them!

I'm linking up with second grade pad. Check out the linky she's got join on highlighting fall themed products and activities.

Here's mine!

My favorite BY FAR are the recipe pages

Green slime and Edible Eyeballs

At my school we don't do sugary treats. So these are perfect. I'm sure I can get the kids to eat carrots if there's cream cheese on them and they look like eyeballs!

Before we eat the treats, we are going to write down the steps of the recipe using transition words.

Then while enjoying our treats we we fill out this using your sense page.

The kitchen teacher (yep we have a cooking class! It's awesome) teaches the kids to use "chef words" when describing food. "Chef  words are strong adjectives that describe the touch, taste, look and smell of the food. So even if you don't have a cooking class at your school you can still incorporate it into your classroom lessons!

I'm really excited about this pack, so I'd love to give it away to the first 2 people to leave a comment. If you want tell me your favorite halloween activity to do in the classroom.

If you aren't one of the first two to comment you can get it in my shop. I'm putting it on sale through tomorrow at midnight!

AND

I have a freebie from the pack as well.

I'm linking up with Mel from Graphics From the Pond

You can use this as a ABC order center, or have the kids use the words to write sentences or stories.

You can get this freebie in my shop by clicking here!

I'll be back next week hopefully with some more class pics to show you what we've been up to!
