Last minute Thanksgiving idea!

So I know that many of you are off already for Thanksgiving break. (LUCKY) But I just wanted to share a super quick, fun activity I did with the kids today. Carrie at C&C Teach First has a cute (FREE) Turkey in disguise printable. Many of you have heard or seen the turkey in disguise take home projects. Kids and their families use art supplies and decorate their Turkey so it won't be eaten on Thanksgiving. I didn't want to do a big take home project, so this was perfect.

We started by reading The Night Before Thanksgiving.

Then proceed to disguise our turkeys

These are my favorite. I have a creative bunch this year. I about died over the Katy Perry one.

So if you find yourself needing an extra holiday activity this one was so much fun. The kids loved it and we all got some good laughs when we shared our turkeys.

  1. Looks great! So fun to see our stuff out there in cyperspace. I will be updating this so make sure you redownload it with the templates included for a shirt, pants, and shoes. This helps the little ones create outfits with construction paper to glue onto the turkey. When I reupload it, TPT should send everyone that downloaded it a message to download it again...I think.

  2. Hi! I found you through your post on the TPT seller boards, and thought I'd check out your blog. We did the turkey in disguise too! I did mine as a homework project, but your idea works well for a last minute activity. They really look cute!
