Pintervention Party!

Photobucket

I'm joining Heather from Hoot, Hoot, Hooray's Pintervention party. Click the picture above to share the pinterest projects you've made.

So I have noticed that wonderful colored and patterned duct tape and always passed it by. I just didn't have any ideas for it. THEN I saw this and this.

The first pin is report covers bordered by duct tape so they can be used with dry erase markers. That one I will work on a bit later once I can get down to staples to pick up report covers.
The second pin is what I actually completed. I have a ton of empty amazon boxes lying around. and I mean a TON. It's a pretty bad addiction. So since I'm always looking for more storage I figured I'd pretty up the cardboard boxes and use them in my classroom.

I started with the empty amazon box and cut off the flaps. Then I started covering it with the duct tape. I have a few tricks for making it looks nice and minimizing wrinkles.

1. Place the duct tape around the corners. Cut a slip in the middle and fold down the sides.

2. Fold the duct tape in half longways and press it into the crease. Then fold up the top.

So here are my completed boxes!

Currently I am using them to store my laminated materials and scraps. But I think they turned out pretty cute. Yeah there are some wrinkles and they are not perfect. But hey I got some new boxes that match my color theme. I am happy!

So one more thing before I go! Enter my giveaway! I can't announce the winner until I hit 50 followers, so join up and get a chance to win a $25 Teachers pay teachers gift certificate.

  1. They look great and I would think duct tape is easier to manage than the contact paper I used several years ago.

    Thanks for following me!
