I'm linking up with Kinder Kraziness for WIPW
I've been a pinning machine lately. I'm getting to the point were I'm starting to get a little sad because I know I can't implement all these great ideas. I've just got to narrow down my focus a little bit.
Here are a few I wanted to share with you
Every year my school has a big to do on Dr. Seuss' birthday. Wouldn't this just be the cutest decoration? Honestly I want these trees up in my classroom all year.
Here is link where they were pinned from Mrs. Lodges Library
Story stones! Students can pick out a few and use them to tell a story for work on writing time. They could even paint them themselves.
Original pin from a non teaching blog called paint on the ceiling
Last one is table top writing. I LOVED going to Restaurants that had paper on the table as a kid. I thought it was just about the best thing in the world. I bought a table last year and had it painted with whiteboard paint so the kids could write on it. I had one little boy who practically lived for this table. He wasn't the easiest kid to motivate so that fact that he was excited about doing work, even if it was because he got to write on a table was a blessing. This pin has the kids responding to a book they were reading. I could cover all the tables with paper or just leave a question on the white board table and have students answer it.
original pin from conversations in literacy
So that's a small sampling of what I've pinned this week! Hope everyone is having a fabulous Wednesday.
I have pinned the truffula trees too! I am going to do them for Dr. Seuss' birthday. I love your idea of a table with whiteboard paint. I was thinking of doing one in chalkboard paint or whiteboard paint and you have convinced me to do it!

I love those truffula trees!! That would be so much fun for Dr. Seuss's birthday. I just don't know if mine would come out anywhere near as cute! :)
