The Great TPT Product Swap

The day has finally come! I've been looking forward to this for a while. Jessica matched us up with a grade level partner to swap and review each other's products. When you are done here make sure you visit Jessica's blog to check out all the wonderful products being reviewed!

I had the pleasure of reviewing two products from Tori over at Tori's Teacher Tips. She is amazing by the way! When you are done here, go check out her blog and see her review of my products!

I started with her Word Families Galore Pack (Short Vowels) I chose this pack because I was tutoring an almost first grader this summer, and I knew it would be perfect for him.

This pack includes:
Word family cards- 17 total
Large cards you can use for a word family display
Activity sheets (draw and write, bingo, making words, abc order etc.)

Print and laminate the cards then you can bind them to make little books. I used scrapbook wire because that's what I had lying around, but Tori suggests pipe cleaners.

You can also leave them separate to use as a making words activity by stacking the cards. I put little dots on the corners to color code the word families so I didn't mix them up.

Here's an example of an activity sheet that comes with the pack. I drew lines underneath the boxes because one of his summer goals was forming the letters correctly.

It's a great product that would fit in easily at at literacy center- I am teaching a leveled class of high readers next year so I won't be able to use it, but it was perfect for  my tutoring student this summer.

Today she is discounting it a dollar so you can pick up this product at her store for only $4.00! That is an amazing deal for everything you get. Click here to view!

Next Product!

The next product I am reviewing is her back to school activity pack. This is FULL of activities, games, and resources for those first few weeks. Here's a few samples of what's included.

Similar to the venn diagram. This was not done by a student, but by me :-)

Math about me. Students share numbers that have important meaning in their lives. I think this would be a great intro to math on the first day to get the kiddies thinking about how important numbers are in our lives.

Tori has lots of good ideas for games and ice breakers as well. Here's my favorite, and one I will definitely be doing with my kids on the first day.

All in all there are 31 activities. If you want to check out this pack you can find it by clicking here! This product is normally $5 but today you can pick it up for only 4.

Don't forget to check out Tori's blog and see my resources! Now I'm off to look at what everyone else is reviewing. I have a feeling I'm going to be adding to my already huge wish list!
